Cultur Lab kicks off in Bologna!

The project Cultur Lab is a laboratory of intercultural exchange between Italian and foreign youngsters living in Bologna that will last from October 2010 to January 2011. It's an European Community project, all the activities will be in Bologna and are totally free!

It aims to let the partipants "meet" each other, living close, know their cultures, to learn, teach, share and grow up together. The partipants will “tell” about themselves and their cultures by sharing all together different aspects of their everyday life and by addressing together and talking about common concern. From culture to art, from cinematography to cooking, from music to volunteering, from climate change to European dimension up till individual life experiences. The participants will “walk” together for more than 4 months learning about the others and themselves through non-formal and informal educational activities such as workshops, cultural exhibitions, intercultural cooking, trainings, living library.

YouNet: supporting volunteering, no-profit networking

Dear all,

A great news for everybody, YouNet a new and innovative non-profit pro-social organisation has just been established!

Our aims are:

- to contribute at and to boost the development of the non profit sector as a socio-cultural and economic driving engine of a more equal and supportive society;

- to foster training, cooperation and partnership between non profit organisations and social workers;

- to promote and to support volunteering at a local, national, European and international level as a tool to achieve a more inclusive and just society;

- to promote youth learning, participation and mobility with particular regards to youngsters with fewer opportunities;

- to foster active citizenship, social and democratic engagement;

- to support social inclusion and cohesion;

- to promote intercultural dialogue and exchange whilst fighting racism and xenophobia;

- to support the human rights protection and the social and civil interests;

- to promote and facilitate the access at an European dimension;

- to encourage local sustainable development in the north and south of the world.

- to raise awareness and to promote mobilisation around global challenges.
